The book is an ode to the power of imagination. As a child, I had a close bond with my sisters. After all, we shared the same fate and found comfort in it with each other. In our rich fantasy world, our lives were perfect. Until one of us, for no apparent reason, was assigned another home. The three of us fell apart and we saw each other less and less, until contact was completely severed.
In Would I recognize you? I turn faded memories, loss and old pain into a series of images. I mix two sister pictures with new material in which my family members appear. In this way I bring together past and present, fiction and reality.
