Under the Pine Tree of the Moon
Under The Pine Tree of the Moon, tells a story under a Japanese tree: in the circular shape of the moon, the tree had fallen, it was healed with bandages, as is custom in Japanese tradition. As the artist buried the ashes of a loved one under the tree, two white cats came to partake in the ritual while crows flew above. Tine Guns’ work composes this meeting, from the nostalgic tale of the event, to the mechanical sequence of its occurring.
