Paparazzo
In Paparazzo, Filip Naudts peeks into the lives of famous women and men as an unabashed peeping tom. The photos make us voyeurs, spying through windows and curtains and enjoying a nocturnal view into an interior and intimacy that we really shouldn’t see. But Naudts is a well-mannered paparazzo, with artistic rather than indecent intentions. The familiar faces, the pre-eminently hunted game of the paparazzi, are part of the conspiracy here. It produces images that are spontaneous and exciting, and, as we are used to from Naudts, always contain a touch of humor and self-relativity.
