LAND – On the brink of some formidably complex matter
Land focuses on the transformation and fragmentation of the landscape. The landscape is a construction, or one could say, a destruction of what it once was or will be.
When moving, the surrounding landscape is slowly shifting. The different layers slide over each other continuously. Concepts like distance, size and scale become relative.
A human intervention, either subtle or defining, characterizes the images. We as humans destroy and construct, we shape the world irreversibly. The images enhance the geometric qualities of these new landscapes creating a tension between straight and curved lines as symbols for civilization and nature.
